Cookie policy
DRAFT — lawyer review This text is a draft under legal review and is not yet in force.
In short
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
- We count visits without cookies.
- We store only what the site needs to work, or what you choose, such as your theme.
- If we ever add something that needs your consent, we will ask first, and saying no will be as easy as saying yes.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar techniques, such as local storage, work the same way. This policy covers all of them.
What we store, and why
We store only what is strictly necessary for a service you ask for, or what remembers a choice you make:
- Sign-in (a secure cookie): keeps you signed in to your account, until you sign out or the session expires;
- Language (a cookie, only if you switch language): shows the site in the language you chose;
- Preferences (local storage, only when you change them): light or dark theme, calm motion and sound;
- Checkout (session storage): keeps your platform and amount while you check out, never your EA login [engineers to confirm];
- Payment: our payment provider’s payment page may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud, for example during 3-D Secure;
- Support chat: when you open the chat, Crisp stores a cookie so your conversation continues across pages;
- Partner gift (a cookie named wc_partner, only if you choose to save a partner’s gift on their page): keeps that partner’s code for 30 days, so your first order on this browser gets the gift and counts for the partner. Remove it from the partner’s page or your browser at any time.
Because these are strictly necessary or remember your own choices, the law does not require your consent for them.
Statistics without cookies
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. To count unique visitors, it uses a code that changes every day and can’t be traced back to you. We only see totals, such as how many people visited a page. The data stays in the EU.
Bot protection
At checkout, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not a bot, using signals from your browser. It sets no cookies on our site. This check is strictly necessary to keep checkout and your account safe.
Error reports
If something breaks, our site sends an error report to Sentry, in its EU region, with logins, codes and email addresses removed first. It also measures how fast our pages load. It sets no cookies on our site.
If we ever need your consent
Today, nothing on our site needs your consent. If we add something that does, for example measuring which partner link brought you to us, we will ask first with a clear choice, where saying no is as easy as saying yes. You can change your choice at any time from the link in our footer.
Your browser settings
You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. If you block what is strictly necessary, signing in and checkout may not work.
Changes
We update this policy when what we store changes. The version and date are at the top.
