About these terms

These terms apply to every order you place on coinplug.co with [Legal name] B.V. (“Coin Plug”, “we”, “us”). Together with your order confirmation, they form the contract between you and us.

Our store is for consumers: people buying for themselves, not for a business or to resell.

You can read, print or save these terms at any time on this page. We also email them to you as a PDF with your order confirmation.

These terms are available in English, Dutch, German and French. [If the versions differ, the version in the language you used for your order applies.]

Who can order

You can order if:

• you are 18 or older (we ask you to confirm this at checkout);
• you live in a country of the European Union;
• the EA account is your own and you are allowed to use it (never give us someone else’s login); and
• you buy for your own club, not for a business or to resell.

We may refuse an order, or stop one in progress, if we have good reason to believe one of these is not true, for example when there are signs of fraud. If we stop an order after you have paid, we refund everything we have not delivered.

EA’s rules and your account

Coin Plug is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Electronic Arts (EA). EA SPORTS FC is a trademark of Electronic Arts Inc.

Buying coins from anyone other than EA, including from us, is against EA’s rules (the EA User Agreement and EA’s rules for EA SPORTS FC). Sharing your login is against them too. EA can act against accounts that buy coins. The measures EA lists include:

• removing coins from your club;
• deleting your club;
• restricting your access to the transfer market;
• suspending or banning your account, temporarily or permanently.

EA decides on these measures, not us. A ban can carry over to later EA SPORTS FC games, and EA does not give refunds for it. We use only the most cautious delivery settings our delivery partner offers, but no seller can rule out action by EA. Our page Safety and how it works explains this in more detail.

We tell you all this before you pay, so you can decide with the full picture. We are not responsible for measures EA takes under its own rules, unless they result from our failure to perform this contract with due care.

What you buy

You buy an amount of coins for the Ultimate Team mode of EA SPORTS FC 27 on PlayStation, Xbox or PC, delivered into the club of the EA account you give us. Coins are in-game currency: they exist only inside the game.

The amount you order is the amount your club receives. EA takes a 5% tax on transfer market sales; our price already covers it.

An order is for 100K to 1.5M coins. When supply is low, some amounts may be unavailable; we show what is available before you pay.

Coins arrive through trades on the transfer market, made by our delivery partner while you stay logged out. To make them, our delivery partner signs in to your EA account with the login and backup codes you give us (see “Your EA login” below).

Delivery depends on EA’s services, such as the transfer market and the web app. When EA closes or limits them, for example for maintenance, delivery pauses until they are back.

How ordering works

1. Amount. You choose your platform and an amount. We show the total price, including VAT, and a live delivery estimate. While you check out, your price is held for 15 minutes.
2. Your EA details. You give us your EA account email, password and three backup codes. Your browser encrypts them before sending them.
3. Account check. Our delivery partner signs in once to check your account is ready, for example that it has transfer market access and enough free slots. Nothing is charged. If something needs fixing, we show you what to do. If there is no result within 10 minutes, the order stops.
4. Two confirmations. You confirm you are 18 or older, and you ask us to start delivery straight away (see “Your right of withdrawal”). These are two separate boxes, never ticked in advance.
5. Payment. After the check has passed, you have 15 minutes to start paying. The pay button shows the amount you are about to pay: pressing it places an order you must pay for.
6. Contract. Our contract is made when your payment is confirmed. We then email you a confirmation with your order, your two confirmations and these terms, before delivery starts.
7. Delivery. Coins arrive in your club while you stay logged out. Your order page shows progress live, and we email you when delivery is complete.

Some payments take longer to complete, crypto in particular. Once you have started paying, we hold your order for up to 60 minutes. If no payment is confirmed by then, the order stops and nothing is charged. A payment that reaches us after the order stopped is refunded automatically.

Prices and payment

Prices are in euros and include VAT at the rate that applies to your order. There are no other charges from us: the total you see before paying is the total you pay.

We take payment only after your account check has passed. You can pay with the methods shown at checkout, which may include cards (always with 3-D Secure), Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact, BLIK and crypto. Your card details go straight to our payment provider; we never see or store them.

Your bank or payment provider may charge its own fees, for example for currency conversion. We don’t receive them.

Delivery

Delivery starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. Before you pay, and on your order page, we show an estimate based on recent deliveries. It is an estimate, not a promise: when the market is busy, coins can take longer, and we tell you when they do.

While we deliver, please:

• stay logged out of Ultimate Team on every device, including the web app and companion app;
• keep at least 3 free slots in your transfer list and transfer targets, fewer than 50 unassigned items, and at least 1,500 coins in your club;
• not change your EA password or backup codes until delivery is complete.

If something on your side stops delivery, for example a sign-in or a backup code that no longer works, we pause and show you one simple fix on your order page. Delivery continues once it is done.

If a problem can’t be fixed, for example because your account has no transfer market access or EA has blocked it, we stop the order. Before payment, nothing is charged. After payment, we refund every coin not delivered.

If we can’t complete delivery for reasons on our side, for example because supply runs out, we deliver what we can and refund the rest automatically.

Your EA login

We use your EA login and backup codes only to deliver your order. Your browser encrypts them before sending them. Only our order engine can unlock them, and only to pass them to our delivery partner for your order. Our staff can’t see them.

We delete our copy when delivery ends or your order stops, and never keep it longer than 48 hours. Our agreement with our delivery partner requires it to delete its copy too. Your certificate shows when each deletion is confirmed.

Because your login has been used by someone else, change your EA password and create new backup codes once delivery is complete. We will remind you.

Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase without giving a reason. For coins, it works like this:

• Before delivery starts, you can withdraw and we refund the full price.
• At checkout, you ask us to start delivery straight away, within the 14 days, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for coins once they have been delivered, and completely once your whole order has been delivered.
• While delivery is under way, you can still withdraw: we stop delivery and refund the coins not yet delivered.
• Once all coins have been delivered, the right of withdrawal has ended.

To withdraw, use the “Withdraw from contract here” button on your order page or in the footer of our site. You don’t need to sign in or give a reason. Our refunds and withdrawal policy explains everything in full, including other ways to withdraw.

Refunds

We refund automatically, without you having to ask, when:

• we deliver only part of your order (we refund the undelivered part);
• a payment reaches us after your order stopped, or you paid twice for the same order;
• you withdraw before or during delivery.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. For crypto payments, we refund the euro amount you paid to the refund address you gave us at checkout.

Coins already delivered can’t be taken back, so we don’t refund them, except where the law or these terms say otherwise. All details are in our refunds and withdrawal policy.

If something goes wrong

If the coins we deliver don’t match your order, you have the rights the law gives you under the legal guarantee of conformity. These terms don’t limit those rights.

Tell us when you notice a problem, through the chat on our site or at [support email]. We reply within [24 hours] and aim to resolve every complaint within [14 days].

If we can’t solve it together, you can go to court (see “Law and disputes”). If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre in your country gives free advice on cross-border disputes.

Liability

We are responsible for delivering your order as agreed and for handling your login with care.

We are not responsible for loss caused by measures EA takes under its own rules, by EA’s services being unavailable, or by other events outside our reasonable control, unless we did not act with due care.

[In other cases, our liability for an order is limited to the price you paid for it.] None of this applies to loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, and nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

Fair use

Please don’t use our store for fraud: no stolen or borrowed payment methods, no orders for accounts that aren’t yours, and no false information.

If you think a payment went wrong, please contact us first: we can usually put it right the same day. You keep every right your bank or card issuer gives you.

Privacy

Our privacy notice explains which personal data we use, why and for how long, including how we handle your EA login. Our cookie policy explains what we store on your device.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the law or our service changes. The version that applied when you placed your order stays the version for that order. Each version shows its number and date at the top of this page.

Law and disputes

Dutch law applies to these terms and to your order. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country; where it protects you more, it applies.

You can bring a claim against us in the courts of the Netherlands or of the EU country where you live. We can only bring a claim against you in the courts of the country where you live.
